The Tox Navigator compiles and provides access to extensive toxicity data, including regulatory documents and scientific articles covering animal toxicology studies and human safety data. It features tools for quick analysis of drug candidates' profiles, facilitates adverse drug reaction investigations across different species, and converts animal doses to human equivalent doses.
The goal of our community is to improve the understanding and interpretation of controlled substance and shipping legislation worldwide
IDMP is a set of ISO standards for the Identification of Medicinal Products to ensure consistent identification and exchange of medicinal product information. However, there’s a risk that varying implementations across companies and regions could reduce its effectiveness. This project unites the industry to develop a common ontology for standardized implementation.
As per the NIH, Novel Alternative Methods (NAM) refers to Non-animal methods, models and technologies used to answer complex questions about human health and disease. These include in chemico (biochemical), in vitro (cell-based) and in silico (computer-based) approaches.

User Experience (UX) is an evidence-based design process that centers on the behaviors and needs of users. The adoption of UX in the life sciences comes with its own context and challenges: specific best practices need to be adapted and developed to scale.
At Boehringer Ingelheim, knowledge is distributed in heterogeneous data sources e.g., PDF documents, structured databases or Excel files. To overcome this state of data scattered across multiple silos, achieving a single source of truth, which enables Boehringer Ingelheim to answer complex, specific questions, is game-changing, time-saving and valuable for our business.
The FAIR Maturity Matrix (FAIRMM) is a descriptive (self-)assessment instrument for Leadership and Communities of FAIR data practitioners evolving in the life-sciences. It provides a frame for actionable conversations, aligning stakeholders towards shared FAIR implementation goals.
To create value and guide strategic decision-making in lifescience organisations, data needs to be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR) both by humans and machines. The Pistoia Alliance FAIR –for-Pharma Community of Experts to enables the implementation of FAIR data principles in the life sciences.
